Welcome to Haninge FysioCenter AB
Haninge FysioCenter AB was founded in 1994 and is one of the largest physical-therapy clinics in Sweden located 20km south of Stockholm. The clinic has fifteen physical therapists, two masseuses, three receptionists and one IT consultant.
We see approximately two hundred patients daily, suffering primarily from muscle and skeletal pain. We also have other patients using our training facilities called Techno-gym, which is a completely digitalized, 350 square meter facility. The patient logs into the gym with a “Wellness key”, similar to an usb memory stick, and then receives workout instructions on a screen. The physical therapist can observe the patient during the treatment/workout in the gym but also do follow-ups and changes of the program by a computer which the patient can see on the screen at the gym or even at home. The physical therapist can see exactly what the patient has done for example in terms of duration, repetitions and weights.
Haninge FycioCenter AB has equipment for scanning joints, muscles and skeletal parts with Ultrasound as well as performing Shockwave-treatments, automatic Auto-traction and in warm-water treatments. We have nine groups every week.
Our specialty is OMT (orthopedic manual therapy), which we also teach physical therapists and doctors during their level ll and lll training (OMT ll spans 1,5 years and OMT lll requires 3 years of part-time studies after university). At the moment, we have two parallel groups of ca. twenty students who will finish after their examination.
We also have other kinds of education with external courses and teachers that we invite to our clinic both from Sweden and from other countries. These programs generally attract, physical therapists come from all over the country.
Every year, Haninge FysioCenter AB receives about 8-10 physical therapist students from different universities, mainly Karolinska Institutet, during their third, fifth or sixth semester.
